Post 229 Boy Scout Support Activities in 2021-2022:

• 15 Apr 2023 - Boy Scout Troop 201 Shooting Sports Day at Camp Westmorland, 08:00-16:00 (4PM).

•   Commander Post 229 presented a check for $200 to Rick Hatch, Chairman of Boy Scout Troop 201, on 4/14/2022.

                              New Boy Scout Troop 201 - Built Parade Trailer 2021                                         Troop 201 participated in the Nov 2021 Veteran's Day Parade in Huntsville, AL and in the Madison City Christmas Parade, as well as in Veteran Flag Laying and Wreath Laying events.        

• Attended Emergency Preparedness training with the Monrovia Volunteer Fire Department (December 2020)
• Overnight caving at Cumberland Caverns (February)
• Participated in community Mardi Gras parade (February)
• Went to week-long Summer Camp at Comer (June)
• Campout at Grimes Canoe Base in TN (July)

Boy Scout Troop 7201

• 2021 Eagle Scouts: Jack Rice and Conner Forbes
• Supported American Legion Post 229 Memorial Day Services
• Placed over 400 flags in support of Memorial Day
• Visited and flew UH60 simulators at Redstone Arsenal

Venture Crew 7201

• 2021 Eagle Scouts: Aidan Anderson, Greyston Harper, Matthew Graham and Caden Preston
• Completed a Philmont Trek in June, hiked over 100 miles
