Post 229 Madison Location
As of March 2024, Amercian Legion Post still does not have a physical building location. City Madison is renovating a building on Brown Ferry Road that will be a shared facility with other community organizations and is due to open in Fall 2024.
In the meantime we meet once a month as mentioned below and conduct business via meeting minutes, phone calls, Commander's emails to members, word of mouth, this web site, etc.
- Our meetings are held on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 7 pm. Arrive at 06:30 P.M. for an informal social with snacks prior to the formal meeting. We meet currently at the Black Patch Distilling Co., 500 Lanier Rd, Suite C3, Madison, Alabama 35758. Madison City is conducting a major overhaul of a large facility off Brown Ferry Road in Madison, which may be the future permanent home of Post 229. The updated facility will be shared with other local organizations.
